TPA Scholarship Application

There is nothing we like more than helping to bring amazing Pilates into the world. If you are struggling to afford your Pilates teacher training or Pilates continuing education courses, you've come to the right place! While we cannot guarantee that every applicant will be awarded a scholarship, we will be awarding two $1,000 scholarships per year and we would love to hear from you!
The fine print:
Texas Pilates Association believes that all who desire to enter into a Pilates teacher training program or continuing education, should have access to the resources they need to create a safe and educated approach to teaching the Pilates method. Texas Pilates Association Scholarship fund was established to improve access to quality Pilates teacher training and continue education programs for teachers with financial need in Houston and the greater Houston area.
Funds will be provided directly to scholarship recipients and can be used to pay the service providers they choose. Recipients may be required to fill out appropriate tax forms and supply social security number.
Scholarship Criteria :
Applicants must be at least 20 years of age.
Applicants must be a resident of Houston or greater Houston.
Applicants for monetary funds cannot be Board or Committee of Texas Pilates Association.
Applicants must submit an application and provide an explanation of desired service and financial need.
Application deadline is the 1st of August and the 1st of December.
The Recipient of the $1000 award will be notified by the 15th of the month. (Two $1000 scholarships given per year.)
Applicants not chosen in the round they originally applied will be reconsidered in the following round, unless the applicant withdraws.
Applicants may apply for this scholarship as often as they wish. However, only one scholarship will be granted per training program or course per calendar year to one recipient.

Texas Pilates Association make no representations or warranties whatsoever regarding the availability of funds for this scholarship program and reserves the right to cancel this program at any time without notice.
Fulfillment of Scholarship Criteria and submission of this application does not guaranty that an applicant will be awarded sufficient funds or any funds at all.
Scholarship decisions are made the sole and absolute discretion of Texas Pilates Association.
To the extent awarded funds are requested with appropriate documentation by a recipient within 6 months of notification of the award, the award will be cancelled, and funds will be forfeited, and recipient will have no right whatsoever to such funds.
Texas Pilates Association shall not be liable for any damages to any party under this scholarship program.
The applicant hereby indemnifies and holds Texas Pilates Association, its officers, directors, employees and agents, harmless for any damage or liability that may arise in relation to this scholarship program or any service paid for with scholarship funds.
